Tuchel leaves Palmer out of England squad for Nations League
Cole Palmer has been excluded from Thomas Tuchel's England squad for Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain, despite Chelsea confirming he is fit.
Chelsea confirmed Cole Palmer was fit and available for international duty, but Thomas Tuchel has omitted the 24-year-old from his England squad for November Nations League matches. Tuchel said the decision is not personal but stems from Palmer missing too many opportunities to impress and withdrawing from previous squads due to injury. The England manager is prioritising players who were in the previous camp and showed commitment. Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso said he had not spoken to Palmer about the snub but expressed confidence in the attacker's performances for the Blues.
